Cool Tropical Vibe for Mission Beach’s Bibesia Beach Club

Inspired by a Roman Goddess renowned for feasting and hospitality, the Bibesia Beach Club is set to open later this month in one of the most spectacular locations in Australia – tropical north Queensland’s Mission Beach.

Bibesia Beach Club, named for the Roman Goddess Bibesia, who with Edesia presided over Roman banquets, will form the centrepiece of Castaways Resort & Spa Mission Beach – unforgettably located on the absolute beachfront of the palm-fringed Coral Sea.

From May 31, Bibesia will introduce a new concept of beach club to the tropical north, complete with sensational seasonal cuisine, cool cocktails and funky styling.
It will also mark the completion of Castaways’ multi-million-dollar upgrade.

Bibesia guests can relax and unwind at the resort’s two new pools – for serious swimmers there is a beachfront 25 metre lap pool . A second, organically shaped leisure pool surrounded by tropical gardens and custom-made day beds will appeal to those who like to unwind poolside in an unbeatable location metres from the turquoise waters of the Coral Sea.

Living up to its inspiration, beach club guests will never go hungry – or thirsty. The resort’s new restaurant featuring an open flame grill is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner – while a beachfront bar specialises in cool cocktails and a fabulous array of chilled boutique beers and wines.
The multi-million-dollar upgrade of Mission Beach’s iconic beachfront property - Castaways Resort & Spa Mission Beach is scheduled to be completed by late May, according to owner Mr James Neville-Smith.
Mr Neville-Smith said the newly-refurbished Castaways would also offer rooms with direct access to the beachfront pool.

“We are really excited to deliver a beach club of this quality and style to Mission Beach,” said Mr Neville-Smith. “It sets a new standard of absolute beachfront leisure and dining facilities. We’ve put a lot of thought into how people will use and enjoy the facilities, and into all elements from design to custom-made beach towels and the type of food on the seasonal menus. It is a truly spectacular addition to Mission Beach’s increasingly sophisticated visitor offering.”

Castaways Resort & Spa Mission Beach is Mission Beach’s only absolute beachfront resort. Mission Beach is located approximately 140km south of Cairns. www.castaways.com.au
