Goulburn Region celebrates this October

 

October is an exciting month for bike and car enthusiasts within the Goulburn Region! From Friday 20 – Sunday 22 October the Classic Riders Club Goulburn (CRCG) will hold their 32nd Annual Classic Ride. One week later, on Sunday 29 October, Tarago Classic Bike and Car Show will host their very first annual show.

Each October, CRCG run their Annual Ride which brings together clubs and motorcycling lovers from all over Australia. While marking their 32nd Annual Ride, this year’s theme will celebrate the 120th Anniversary of Harley Davidson Motorcycles.

Friday evening from 6.00pm – 7.30pm will see the event launch with a sausage sizzle and a general meet and greet for riders at the Goulburn Workers Arena.

Saturday will begin with breakfast at the Goulburn Workers Arena from 8.00am with help from CanAssist. Shortly after, there will be a briefing, followed by the departure of motorcycles towards Pheasant Wood Circuit, Marulan, where lunch and judging will be held. The riders will then head back to Goulburn for a presentation dinner at the Goulburn Workers Club Auditorium at 6.00pm. A courtesy bus will provide return transport from Goulburn South Caravan Park.

On Sunday, the same schedule will be held for the morning, however, riders will depart for Taralga where Taralga Public School will host the riders with a country-style brunch. The event will come to a close at the Goulburn Workers Arena around 1.30pm.

The following weekend, Tarago Classic Car and Bike Show will be holding their first annual show! This will be held at the Tarago Recreation Area with access off Braidwood Road. The day will also include The Tarago Markets, as well as live music, a coffee van, an ice cream van, all-day BBQ, Shannon’s display site and a monster raffle of car-related goods and services.

Trophies will be awarded for a number of categories, including Best Car of the Show, Best Holden, Best Ford, Best Other Category, Best Bike and Best Restored Car/Bike. Local businesses in Tarago will also be welcoming visitors, with The Loaded Dog Hotel, Corang Estate Cellar Door & Pantry, The Antique Shop and The Café all open for business. This will be a great weekend for the whole family!
