Silversea returns to ocean sailing in Australia after more than 1,000 days

Silversea’s Silver Muse arrived in Fremantle on Saturday 10 December, marking Silversea’s return to ocean sailing in Australian waters.

While Silversea has operated a successful season in the Australian Kimberley region aboard its expedition ship Silver Explorer, Silver Muse’s arrival marks the highly anticipated return of ocean cruising in the Asia Pacific region, including Australia after more than 1,000 days.

"Silver Muse is our first ocean liner in the Asia-Pacific seas in more than 1,000 days. It is so rewarding after such a long wait,” said Adam Radwanski, Silversea’s Managing Director for the Asia Pacific.

Guests embarked on an 18-day voyage on board Silver Muse from Singapore to Sydney last Saturday 2 December, and have already enjoyed relaxing days at sea as well as time exploring Bali’s Lombok and Benoa. The remaining ports of call include Fremantle, Busselton, and Albany. Kangaroo Island’s rich diversity of flora and fauna and unique wildlife will satisfy nature lovers, while the bustling cities of Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney will excite urbanites.

Silver Muse provides a perfect balance between small-ship intimacy and all-suite accommodation with a capacity for 596 guests and 411 crew.

Joining Silver Muse in Australia from the Silversea fleet is Silver Whisper, who will arrive in December, followed by Silver Shadow who arrives in Sydney in January to commence the World Cruise 2023–the first time a Silversea World Cruise has departed from any Australian city.
