Bitter & Twisted International Boutique Beer Festival
Maitland Tourism have just released the first tickets to this years Bitter & Twisted International Boutique Beer Festival, held at Maitland Gaol on the 6th and 7th November, and early bird ticket buyers will have the chance to get really Twisted and brew their own beer!
We are asking you to nominate your most Twisted beer - be it ale or lager, complemented by your most Twisted flavour- be it ice-cream, popcorn or meat pies - for your chance to win a day brewing your winning beer with the expert brewers at Hunter Beer Company. Plus, you'll get to take home 10 litres to share with your mates and have your beer featured on the Hunter Beer Company stand at Bitter & Twisted this November.
Rachel MacLucas, Manager Tourism for Maitland Tourism claims this is an exciting one-off opportunity for people to really get creative.
"We think there is so much scope for people to create a really Twisted beer, like Nacho flavoured lager or Chilli Chocolate ale. We can't wait to see what Twisted idea wins.
"This year, Bitter & Twisted is already shaping to be bigger and better then ever before with plenty on offer for beer drinkers, wine drinkers, non drinkers, food lovers, music lovers, arts lovers, parents, children, grandparents, friends, lovers, dancers, singers...basically anyone who wants to have a good time," said Ms MacLucas.
The two day festival will feature stalls offering tastings of over 60 beer from the best Australian craft-breweries as well as specialty international beer from around the globe matched by catering stalls offering international gourmet cuisine.
With endless activities including music, beer and wine tastings, entertainment, educational sessions, lunch options, kids' zone with face painting, gaol tours and much more, Bitter & Twisted certainly is the place to be this Spring!
Tickets are on sale now. Get in early and book before September 1st 2010 to go into the Twisted Ales competition for your chance to brew your own flavoured beer!!
