Penrith Caravan and Camping Expo on again this weekend

As caravan and camping holidays lead the resurgence in domestic tourism, the timing of the Penrith Caravan, Camping and Holiday Expo at Penrith Panthers this weekend is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts to gear up and grab pre-summer sales bargains for their next getaway.

From 11 to 13 September, thousands of keen travellers are expected to flock to Penrith Panthers to see over 150 exhibitors displaying the latest caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers, campervans, 5th wheelers, camping equipment and tents, 4WD products and accessories, holiday destinations and tourist parks displays.

Barry Baillie, CEO of the Caravan and Camping Industry Association of NSW (CCIA) says that the attraction of caravan and camping holidays is the breadth of choice available - from camping equipment and accessories under $100 to motorhomes valued at $200,000.

"The Penrith Expo is sure to have something for every budget with a range of pre-summer sales on many caravans and other recreational vehicles and always great savings and bargains on camping gear."

"The Penrith Expo is a free event which is highly anticipated each year. With more people turning to value for money holidays, we hope to see more "first time campers" as well as avid tourers attending the Penrith Expo," said Mr Baillie.

"Now with the abolition of stamp duty on caravans, camper trailers and 5th wheelers in NSW, it has never been a better time to buy these products and gear up for the summer holidays."

"Visitors can also browse a range of holiday destinations from across New South Wales with many caravan and holiday parks exhibiting at the event".

"Many NSW holiday parks are destinations in themselves with great activities such as jumping pillows and resort style swimming pools and kids clubs during school holidays. Whether you take your own tent or camper trailer or stay in a cabin, holiday parks are great getaways for families."

"Our website " www.penrith.superhow.com.au " lists all of the Penrith Expo exhibitors for visitors to plan their visit to the show," said Mr Baillie.

Caravan and camping tourism is the fastest growing domestic tourism sector in Australia and one that is leading the resurgence for domestic tourism across the nation.

"Industry research tells us that 87 percent of Australians have stayed in a caravan park at least once in their lives. The camaraderie and true 'Aussie' experiences that you have as you travel the state and country are truly unique to caravan and camping getaways."

"Everyone deserves a holiday and caravan, camping and RV getaways are still the best value holiday option for all Australians, offering something for every budget," said Mr Baillie.

The Penrith Expo will be open 9am-5pm daily with free admission and free parking.
