InterContinental and Holiday Inn Bangkok are pleased to announce that with the end of the protests, normality has returned to the Thai capital and both hotels welcome all guests and visitors. InterContinental Bangkok will re-open its doors on Wednesday 26th May 2010 and Holiday Inn Bangkok will be available for bookings from this date.
Enhanced security will remain in place at both hotel so guests in Bangkok whether on holiday, business or for a meeting or social event, are assured a safe, convenient and comfortable experience during their stay.
Markus Platzer, General Manager of InterContinental Bangkok, said, "With our refurbishment last year, the hotel strengthened its status as one of InterContinental Hotels Group's flagship hotels in the Southeast Asia region. This down time has enabled the hotels to spend time refining skills and ensuring that the hotel remained in pristine condition.
InterContinental Bangkok is where "Luxury Has a New Expression" and the hotel is certainly excited to resume providing guests with authentic cultural experiences and to impart its "In the Know" ethos.
Holiday Inn Bangkok, meanwhile, is ready to offer a warm welcome to guests back to its popular Café G and Charm Thai restaurants as well some of the best-value accommodation in downtown Bangkok.
