Set Sail this Winter with Queensland’s Season of Sailing
Queensland’s new Season of Sailing brings together a calendar of spectacular sailing events and great holiday packages to get you out on the water this winter.
Whether you’re a keen sailor or just up for some family fun in the sun, the Season of Sailing highlights Queensland’s fantastic winter sailing events along the state’s coast from August 6 to September 7.
And a new website (www.queenslandholidays.com.au/sailing) is bursting with a range of stay and sail packages in Central Queensland, the Whitsundays and Townsville which are available from now until March, 2011.
From attending race events to learning to sail on a bareboat adventure, or enjoying a crewed charter, there are opportunities for every level of skill and experience – as well as a package that is sure to suit.
Choose from a range of charter boat experiences from catamarans to racing yachts; day sail options including reef and sunset cruises; or sail and stay packages that include accommodation at some of Queensland’s best tropical island resorts and beachfront apartments.
The Hamilton Island Race Week Package, for example, allows people to book with Prosail onboard one of their famous maxi yachts, live onboard the yacht berthed in Hamilton Island, enjoy the festival atmosphere by night and join in the race event by day.
The Friends and Family Tropic Sail and Stay Deal includes five nights on a luxury Tropic Sail vessel, two nights in a luxury ocean view apartment at Mariners North Shore (Townsville) and frozen margaritas on the beach on Magnetic Island.
The Family Bonus Package from $695 for two adults and two children includes accommodation and a full day’s sailing around Great Keppel Island (Central Queensland).
Individual race events for Queensland’s Season of Sailing include:
Brisbane to Keppel - August 6-10
