Holland America to deploy second ship down under

Holland America Line has just confirmed it will base its ms Zaandam (pictured) along with ms Volendam in Australasian waters in 2011-12, marking the first time the line will have two ships sailing a series of itineraries in the region simultaneously.
Between Dec 2011 and Feb 2012 both vessels will sail 13- or 14-day roundtrip Sydney itineraries to the South Pacific, while Zaandam will also sail a 14-day New Zealand voyage on the same itinerary as previously announced NZ trips by Volendam.
Zaandam will move onto Asia after its Australasian season for a series of 14-day sailings from Singapore taking in Hong Kong, Osaka, Bangkok, Shanghai and Beijing.
