Europe 28% Cheaper this Year as Aussie Dollar Rises
Luxury Cruise Tour Packages to Europe
The strengthening Aussie dollar has made 2010 one of the most affordable years ever to travel to Europe, with our dollar now worth 64 euro cents, up from 50 cents, making the continent 28 per cent cheaper for Australians to travel around than a year ago.
With this in mind, European tour specialists, Cruise Express, is offering four luxury hosted cruise tours to Europe this year which include stays in romantic, moated chateaux, luxurious hotels and on deluxe cruise ships and river boats.
The exclusive 2010 'European Masterpieces' tour program for Australians features cruise holidays in France and through the heart of Europe as well as in the Mediterranean and to Scandinavia and Russia, with add-on visits to the once-a-decade Oberammergau Passion Play in Bavaria this year.
All-inclusive fly, stay, tour and cruise packages start from $5990 per person, twin-share, for a 15-day trip, including flights.
Cruise Express' escorted trips this year include:
· A 23-day 'Grand France' river trip from May 27, 2010, featuring two seven-night river cruises and a seven-night coach trip with stays in moated chateaux from $12,990 per person, twin-share. This trip will be hosted by Cruise Express' Hardy Schneider, who was voted by the industry as the best cruise agent in Australia last year
· A 15-day 'Scandinavian and Russian Rhapsody' tour from May 27, 2010, with a 10-night Baltic Sea cruise aboard Star Princess and one night in Copenhagen with sightseeing from $5990 per person twin-share.
